Art. Pienza Italian Buffalo Calf

 Introducing, in limited quantities, our unique and custom leather article, Art. Pienza.  If you like shell cordovan but not the astronomical price, or how unforgiving and intimidating it is to work with and care for, or if you simply don’t like the hype that goes with them, then you are sure to love our newest one of a kind Italian creation Art. Pienza.  Since this is a test launch quantities are limited, but come and give it a try and spread the word. 

We created Art. Pienza in Tuscany with Buffalo Calf hides and we gave it some of the same shell characteristics that you may recognize. We also gave it the much loved stunning two color hand-rubbed dye effect. You will love that Pienza gives you almost twice the square footage of a regular sized shell cordovan for the price and yet has the workability of leathers that you may be familiar with. 

Buffalo Calf leathers are naturally luxurious and are prized by makers of luxury grade watch straps, boots, shoes, wallets, etc. Buffalo epidermis is 3 times stronger than that of Cow.  We love bulk orders, so DM us for larger quantities. 

Maker Tip: When cutting or preparing this material for small leather goods and shoes, handle with care to avoid creasing. When preparing for storage, roll from neck down.  Do not fold this leather for storage. Use cardboard tube or a paper cylinder to protect leather from unintended creasing due to stacking or mishandling. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight like other leathers.

Tannage: White tan (metal free) 

Average Thickness - 1.0 mm to 1.2 mm  (2.5 oz to 3.0 oz)
